Curt Bear, Senior Vice President, Senior Lending Officer:
Curt Bear has been in banking for over 10 years, beginning with a training program through Community First National Bank in North Dakota. He has broad experience in all kinds of commercial lending, including construction loans, lines of credit, SBA loans, and real estate. Curt was born and raised on a farm near Jamestown, ND and earned a BA in Economics at North Dakota State University in Fargo. He moved to Fort Collins in 1999 where he met his wife Jill. After time at banks in Windsor and Colorado Springs during the period from 2003 – 2007 Curt moved back to Fort Collins (the best place to live in the world, period) to join the Capital West team in 2007. Jill is a social worker employed by The Matthews House in Fort Collins – a non-profit organization which focuses on teaching life skills to young persons leaving foster care and/or juvenile detention situations. Curt and Jill enjoy all kinds of outdoor recreation, especially riding motorcycle and exploring the wild areas of Colorado. Curt is involved with many charities and presently provides service to the community through his Horsetooth Sertoma Club, volunteering for The Matthews House and Junior Achievement, and activities through his local church.
